We are enthusiastic and experienced home exchangers, more than fifteen times since the year 2000. We alternate with camping and hiking. Recently registered with Homelink again, so our photo presentation is not yet complete.
About us; Ern(e)st worked a.o. at a social housing company but has now retired and I am a self-employed fundraiser, so we are flexible when it comes to holidays. Our well behaved dog is happy to come along. She has been used to that from an early age and you will naturally find no trace of her presence when you return home. Our two adult children live independently, but sometimes we travel together.
We love hearing from you!

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our lovely house from 1925 has two floors plus an attached part. n
The ground floor includes the dining area and sitting room with the kitchen in between. In the extension we created the utility room and a library/hobby room with sofa bed. Below that there is a cellar.
On the first floor you will find an office at the front, with a fourth sleeping place if desired. At the rear is a bedroom with a double bed and terrace. In between is the bathroom with shower and second toilet.
We currently are not equipped for small children so there are no facilities especially for them nor stair gates, locks on kitchen cupboards, etc.
To continue outside, there's is a front garden on the street side, and a big surprise behind the house; a wonderfully sunny garden of thirty meters deep, facing south. You'll find always a pleasant spot in the sun or shade on one of the terraces.
Soest is a quiet village with several centres, surrounded by greenery. We live in a small street with nice neighbors on the east side of Soest, with a view of the vast Eempolder. Shops for your daily needs are within walking distance, forests and sand drifts are a ten-minute bike ride away. Also within cycling distance is the charming city of Amersfoort with a beautiful historic city center, and a little further away is the lively student city of Utrecht.
Soest is centrally located in the Netherlands, so much is easily accessible by car or train. Just to name a few; the North Sea, the cities of Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam, the IJsselmeer with old fishing ports, the Veluwe nature reserve, old Hanseatic towns such as Deventer and Zutphen...
